To promote tourism and better travel experience in the budget, it has been announced to install Vistadome coaches in some premium trains. Proposal has been sent to Railway Board to introduce vistadome coaches in New Delhi-Kathgodam and New Delhi-Dehradun Shatabdi Express passing through Moradabad Railway Division. Dehradun Shatabdi passes through Rajaji National Park and Kathgodam Shatabdi passes through the beautiful mountains of Uttarakhand. Electrification work is remaining in two section of division, which will be completed by May. After this, electrification work between Raja Ka Sahaspur-Sambhal Hatim Sarai will remain.
The Vistadome coach is designed by modern glass, which is transparent to provide passengers travel comfort as well as an enhanced viewing experience of their surroundings. The passengers sitting in the coach can see not only upwards but also the view of both sides of the trains. The ticket fare of this coach is also proposed to be kept high. Vistadome coaches are proposed to install in both Shatabdi Express. In Moradabad Railway Division, electrification has been completed on most of the routes, and the operations of train is done by electric locomotives. The electrification work between Chandausi-Aligarh 90 km and Balamau-Unnao 102 km is under progress. Electrification work in both places will be completed by May and electric locomotives will start pulling trains soon.
After this, 22 km of electrification work will be left between Raja Ka Sahaspur-Sambhal Hatim Sarai. Divisional Railway Manager Tarun Prakash said that the electrification work on the Chandausi-Aligarh and Balamau-Unnao routes to be completed by May. The electrification work on the remaining routes of the division has been completed.
