There is a preparation to start another new railway line project connecting Bihar to Uttar Pradesh. This railway line will be laid between Ara in Bihar to Ballia in Uttar Pradesh. This route will be about 65 kilometers long, which will also require the construction of a bridge over the Ganges. This time the East Central Railway has received 4,844 crore in the Rail Budget to complete Rail Projects in Bihar. An investment of Rs 6,827.53 crore will also be made in Bihar through internal resources, PPP and other means. In the Railway Budget, a provision has been made to construct a new rail line between (Ara Junction) in Bihar to (Ballia Station) of Uttar Pradesh.
Ara Junction is also connected to the Sasaram station on the Delhi-Gaya-Howrah Grand Chord Rail Line. After laying of the new rail line, the rail services will be restored in four directions from Ara Junction. After construction of railway crossing, Ara station will be developed rapidly. Trains will be operated from Ara Junction to Jharkhand. After the construction of the new rail line, trains from Uttar Pradesh will go to Jharkhand and West Bengal via Ara.
According to East Central Railway General Manager Lalit Chandra Trivedi, where all the industries and traffic system were badly affected during the Corona period, the railway turned it into an opportunity. The old pending works were completed by putting migrant laborers on various railway projects. This also provided employment to migrant laborers and pending railway projects were also completed. Rail operations will start from Jaynagar Station to Bardibas, Nepal (Bihar-Nepal Rail line).
3,944.5 crore to East Central Railway for new rail line project, 390 crore for gauge conversion, 3,035 crore for doubling, 487.66 crore for development of passenger facilities, 389 crore for road safety work, 580 crore for railway path renovation, 72 crore has been given for bridge related work, 135 crore for workshop, 25 crore for traffic facility. It has been asked to survey Ara-Ballia New Line (65 km). The Nirmali-Saraigarh Rail Line, Jaynagar-Bijalpura gauge conversion, Hajipur-Bachhwara doubling and Kataria-Kursela patch doubling work is to be completed by 31 December.
